We visited the Traquair House on Thursday, July 3rd. It is Scotland's oldest inhabited house dating back to 1107 it was originally a hunting lodge for the kings and queens of Scotland. Later a refuge for Catholic priests in times of terror the Stuarts of Traquair supported Mary Queen of Scots and the Jacobite cause.
On the grounds is a large hedge maze (Jon cheated by memorizing the layout from the 2nd floor of the house :) We ate lunch at the 1745 house.
